I want to talk about artificial intelligence: particularly, AI generated images and text.

As a critical AI researcher, theorist, and filmmaker, I explore generative artificial intelligence (LLMs and diffusion-based video, audio, and image models) from both a socially engaged and technically informed perspective.

I've spoken internationally at cultural institutions and festivals, given university and conference keynotes, and published in journals and edited volumes. My CV lists talks, awards, exhibitions and publications.

I offer a generous sliding scale to aligned non-profit, community and cultural institutions.

Replies come fastest when your first email includes the date, the format, and what the budget covers: honorarium or screening fee, travel, and accommodation. If there's no budget, say so directly. It isn't a dealbreaker, it just changes what I can say yes to.

I'm based between Rochester, New York and Cambridge, England, which matters mostly for travel costs and time zones.
